Corporate Responsibility

Climate change, water crisis, bee mortality etc. A look at the media tells us that our planet is increasingly in danger. Our current lifestyle uses 1.7 times the ecological capacity of our planet - with increasing tendency. Deutsche Telekom as a responsible company takes its responsibility for the preservation of natural resources extremely serious.

With the newly adopted “Environmental Guideline Group”, Deutsche Telekom is addressing key environmental issues such as climate change and energy, the preservation of natural resources, and the protection of water and biodiversity. Topics like electromagnetic radiation and the responsible use of hazardous substances are also covered. With the Environmental Guideline, Deutsche Telekom Group acknowledges the precautionary principle as we are convinced that we cannot expose our planet to unforeseeable risks. The new Environmental Guideline summarizes and partially complements existing self-commitments of Deutsche Telekom Group.  This enables us to fulfil our environmental responsibilities, but also the growing expectations of investors, analysts, employees and customers.
