CeBIT: Telekom launches new products for connected work in the SME segment

  • Secure cloud solutions made in Germany like Managed Workplace
  • "DeutschlandLAN PBX from the cloud based on Lync"
  • TeamLike, the secure social network for internal and external business communication

Telekom is expanding its product portfolio with an SME campaign to enable connected work in small and med-sized enterprises. The main focus is on secure cloud solutions and integrated, modular products. Telekom delivers all solutions from a single source and assumes end-to-end responsibility for the products. This includes provisioning, operations, data transport, billing and service. What's more, Telekom is constantly expanding its networks. For example, with LTE+ bandwidths of up to 300 MBit/s are possible. And Telekom is also making the ordering process much easier. Customers can place orders or inquiries through the new "Telekom Order Center for Business Customers". In mid-2014 this portal will serve as the central point of access to the complete SME portfolio, including product information and recommendations. Just in time for CeBIT, the order center is already in operation for IT and cloud products. The new modules for the DeutschlandLAN family represent another highlight at CeBIT. Customers can order their IP or VDSL access and combine that with cloud modules. The "DeutschlandLAN PBX from the cloud based on Swyx" has new features like the CTI+ function, Visual Contact and DatevPro integration. A new product, "DeutschlandLAN PBX from the cloud based on Lync" from Microsoft, is the world's first carrier-grade, meaning high availability and highly resilient, multi-client solution based on Lync, enabling the integration of up to ten end devices per Lync license. In addition to classic functions, it covers services for connected work across multiple sites, for example, with integrated presence status display, instant messaging or web conferences. The cloud-based PBX is hosted in the extremely secure data centers operated by Telekom in Germany. It is available in S, M, L and XL editions, starting at 7.95 euros net per month. But that is not all: DeutschlandLAN also has new cloud apps from the Business Marketplace, such as online storage from Strato, security software from Symantec and the Office365 package, all of which can be ordered in addition to DeutschlandLAN Connect. Net prices for cloud apps start at 3.02 euros per month. When it comes to mobile telecommunications, applications such as Office365 and the Collaboration Toolbox are now integrated in voice and data rate plans. Each package, starting at 33.57 euros net per month, includes a subsidized device such as a smartphone or tablet. New cloud applications from Business Marketplace TeamLike is the secure social network for modern business communication that has been added to the Business Marketplace offering. This software is "Made in Germany" and was developed by mindsmash GmbH; it is hosted in the extremely secure Telekom data centers in Germany. TeamLike enables colleagues and business partners to share information, know-how and ideas securely online. Employees can also use the platform for blogs and chat sessions. Users have access to the platform from any Internet-enabled device. Another highlight is the new enterprise version of iMeet, the online meeting room, which now supports audio and video conferences with up to 125 participants. The iMeet video app for multipoint video conferences is specially designed for iPhone users and for conferences in small groups. This means that users see all of the conference participants at all times on their display. The new iMeet app is free and available for downloading from the Apple iTunes Store. The iMeet solution is hosted in extremely secure data centers in Germany. Another new addition to the Business Marketplace offering is SAPERION fileNshare software from Perceptive Software Deutschland GmbH (formerly SAPERION AG). Enterprises use this solution to securely create, share, edit and archive documents in the cloud. This is possible via office PC, tablet or smartphone. Monthly prices for SAPERION fileNshare start at 12.95 euros net per user. Managed IT Service for desktops, SAP and vCloud Managed Workplace, Mobility for SAP and vCloud are three new modules in Telekom's Managed IT Services portfolio. They are designed for businesses in the upper SME segment. All services are hosted in the private cloud in extremely secure data centers in Germany. With Managed Workplace Telekom provides enterprises with complete managed workplaces, including all required applications, from the cloud. Users have access to their desktop anywhere via every kind of end device. And for the first time, the Windows 7 operating system can be used on the iPad. Customers can build their own "Office to go" with the various modules available. Laptops, tablets, smartphones or PCs are combined with Windows 7, processors, memory and storage from the cloud. If desired, office and security applications, or PBX can be added as well. A package comprised of a processor, 2 GB memory, 50 GB of storage capacity, Windows 7 and the Office package starts at just 41 euros net per month. Optional modules include SharePoint and SafeSync for Enterprise for secure data synchronization between devices. The new Mobility for SAP solution gives mobile SME employees direct access to their SAP systems from any Internet-enabled device. Data can be displayed and modified on the go, then updated in the system in real time. With this solution Telekom is promoting the use of SAP software in the SME market. The vCloud solution allows customers to order computing capacity based on VMware from the private cloud. This is a great advantage when SMEs need to cope with peak loads in their own data centers. Enterprises use the vCloud Connector, a virtual private network, to gain secure access to the computers. CeBIT also marks the launch of Doculife, a multi-client end-to-end solution from the TelekomCloud for businesses of any size and in any industry. Users can scan, edit, track, and destroy documents online, share them internally with colleagues or externally with customers, and archive them over the long term with full audit trail - all with full security. Doculife can be seamlessly integrated in Microsoft Outlook and Office, and it can be connected to existing data management systems. The cost of this software is just 0.02 euros per document per month. Secure networks for SMEs' data centers SMEs can rely on the Telekom "secure data center network" to link their own data centers across several different sites. It connects the systems via EthernetConnect with guaranteed, symmetrical data transmission rates ranging from 1 to 10 Gbit/s. A dedicated line, reserved exclusively for the customer and separated from the public Internet, provides ample data security. Various packages are available – depending on the number of data centers in the configuration and the speed required.

Experience our products and services live at CeBIT from March 10 - 14 at the Deutsche Telekom stand in hall 4, stand C26. Deutsche Telekom's entire presence at the trade fair is carbon-neutral: All CO2 emissions generated in setting up and operating the stand are offset fully by carbon-reduction projects abroad.
