Deutsche Telekom AG appoints Dr. Manfred H. Bobke as new Member of the Board of Management of the Postal Relief Fund

270,000 pensioners to be served on a trust basis by joint pension fund from January 2001 Dr. Manfred H. Bobke, Senior Executive Vice President, Human Resources Management, at Deutsche Telekom AG was appointed by the Federal Ministry of Finance and Deutsche Telekom as a full-time Member of the Board of Management of the newly combined pension fund of Deutsche Post, Postbank and Deutsche Telekom in mid-January.

This joint pension fund, the Bundes-Pensions-Service für Post und Telekommunikation e.V. (BPS-PT), will work for all three original funds and will take over the financial administration on behalf of the federal government on a trust basis. It will handle all payments for pensions and allowances, amounting to more than DM 13 billion annually, for around 270,000 pensioners of the three companies Deutsche Post AG, Deutsche Postbank AG and Deutsche Telekom AG. The BPS-PT is based in Bonn.
