"Feel connected all over Europe" is the Deutsche Telekom motto at this year's Mobile World Congress, the world's largest mobile communications trade fair in Barcelona. Highlighting Deutsche Telekom's reputation as an innovative partner for digital collaboration throughout Europe, the company will showcase its solutions at the event running February 27 to March 2, 2017, with a stand covering some 1,200 square meters in Hall 3.
The 5G communication standard represents this year’s main focus at the fair, illustrate through the motto “5G FOR GOOD”. Deutsche Telekom will demonstrate augmented reality and robotic applications to show that 5G is much more than just high-speed Internet. Deutsche Telekom is also a key driver for the establishment of a "connected Europe" in the future: Developments in this area will be illustrated in Barcelona with augmented reality and position tracking on a Carrera model racecourse, plus smart parking and predictive maintenance solutions for the Internet of Things, and a secure Pan-Net throughout Europe.
The stand concept – encompassing 1,200 square meters of floor space – is designed to convey the experience of life in a connected Europe: A 22 meter long, six meter high LED wall will provide visitors with a glimpse of the visionary "connected city" of the future. Interactive showcases and activities will underscore the exhibition themes “Feel the best network”, “5G FOR GOOD”, and “Feel the connected life”, which are also linked through connecting ceiling elements to provide visitors with a comprehensive hands-on digital solution experience. The Deutsche Telekom stage and podium will play host to 15 sessions that will be conducted by industry experts and partners who will discuss collaboration projects, new products and the latest trends. The Deutsche Telekom presence in Barcelona will put some genuine "feeling" into the digital world of tomorrow, not to mention connectivity across Europe and live 5G applications.
