Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa: Changes on the Management Board

The Supervisory Board of Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC) has approved today the following changes to the company’s Management Board: Klaus Hartmann, CEO, PTC, will assume the post of Senior Vice President responsible for Corporate Governance and Stakeholder Management at the Deutsche Telekom Group headquarters in Bonn, effective January 1, 2011. He will report to Guido Kerkhoff, Board Member Europe, Deutsche Telekom. The Board has appointed Miroslav Rakowski, currently Customer Services and Sales Director at T-Mobile Czech Republic in Prague, as PTC’s CEO, as of January 1, 2011. Effective December 1, 2010, the Supervisory Board has also approved the appointment of Grzegorz Bors, PTC’s Managing Director, Private Market, to the position of Management Board Member and Director, Strategy, Marketing and Sales, succeeding Michael Wilkens, who will return to focus solely on his role as Senior Vice President International Businesses at Deutsche Telekom. "I would like to thank Klaus Hartmann for the truly outstanding work he has done over the last four years to strengthen PTC’s role on the Polish market. I look forward to working with him even closer in his new capacity. Also, I wish Miroslav Rakowski every success with continuing the excellent work at PTC, in which his experience at developing our Czech operations will certainly come in useful," said Guido Kerkhoff, commenting on the board’s decisions. "I am also glad that we could appoint Grzegorz Bors, a long-serving member of PTC’s active management team, as new member to its Management Board. My thanks go as well to Michael Wilkens for his insight, commitment and positive contribution to PTC’s Management Board during his interim tenure, Guido Kerkhoff concluded.
