Port price model: Powerful communication solution as a rental model

  • Integrated solution for all business communications
  • Monthly rental fee only for workstations actually used
  • Initial installation and service included
  • Flexible port configuration

The port price model from Deutsche Telekom enables business customers to transform their workstations into control centers for connected work. On the basis of this solution, all telephone functions, for instance, are available via a PC user interface. Users can receive and send fax and voicemail messages as an e-mail attachment, cell phones can also be used as normal office telephones - without having to forgo any of the convenient features. Alongside hassle-free communication, the port price model also offers attractive economic benefits. The solution does not tie up capital as customers only pay monthly rental per workstation, which includes set-up and configuration charges. Service, including guaranteed troubleshooting within 24, 8 or only 4 hours, is also included in the rental fee. Furthermore, customers enjoy the flexibility to adapt their company-specific solutions to meet changing requirements - this can imply a 10-percent increase or reduction per workstation without any change in the fixed price.

Different configurations can be chosen for the ports. For example, the basic configuration includes not only a telephone but also access to the corporate address book as well as the company's call journal and voicemail function. This basic configuration can be extended to include access to e-mail and instant messaging. A CTI interface allows the terminal device to be managed conveniently via the PC. Mobile employees can be integrated easily when needed. They simply use their notebook with a USB headset or USB phone.

For more sophisticated needs, Deutsche Telekom offers an all-inclusive solution comprising unified communications functions and a broad selection of devices. Besides this, LAN ports are available to link devices up to Ethernet interfaces.
