With smart production planning, companies leave much less of their processes to chance.

All these technologies are the perfect preparation for Smart Production.

Whether clearances or gap seams – everything works better, more efficiently and more accurately, all thanks to an added virtual layer. Take the digital twin of a brake for example. With its actuators it provides continuous feedback data to its production factory, where engineers use a cloud-based PLM software to analyze the feedback and gain valuable insight on how to refine their designs further.

Maximum security

There’s more: using the PLM cloud allows companies to flexibly book additional resources for their production planning as-a-Service – from CAD and CAE to high-performance computing. All that is flexibly provided directly from one of Europe’s fastest data centers. To ensure that the data is usable by other business units as well, it is stored at maximum levels of security in the Data Intelligence Hub, an internal data marketplace.

Perfect preparation

And while the data is being processed via this state-of-the-art system, robots are busy on the factory floor: via 3-D laser scans, data preparation, secure hosting and more, they help to advance the digitalization and optimization of production facilities. Ultimately, all these technologies are the perfect preparation for Smart Production.
