Christoph Ganswindt to become new T-Home Board of Management member, Information Technology

From April 1, 2009, Christoph Ganswindt will head Information Technology at T Home, one of Deutsche Telekom's strategic business units. The 46-year-old IT expert is joining the T Home Board of Management from Deutsche Lufthansa AG. In his new role, Mr. Ganswindt is primarily responsible for the ongoing process of restructuring the IT landscape at T Home in order to ensure that Information Technology is continually aligned with the requirements of the fiercely competitive telecommunications service market.

Christoph Ganswindt studied electrical engineering and information technology in Bochum. From 1990 until the end of 1998, he held managerial positions in various IT projects within the Deutsche Telekom Group. As a Managing Board member, Mr. Ganswindt headed the central information technology department of PT Satelit Palapa Indonesia from 1995 to early 1998. The company is a joint venture of Deutsche Telekom with the business areas of satellite communication, fixed network and GSM mobile communications in the Indonesian market. Christoph Ganswindt was most recently responsible for central information management in the passenger transportation business segment of Lufthansa.
