Developer Garden, Deutsche Telekom's developer portal, releases iOS5-compatible Objective-C SDK

  • Easy integration of Deutsche Telekom services into iPhone and iPad apps
  • Latest iOS5 operating system supported
  • Modular integration of text messaging services and telephone conferences

Developer Garden, Deutsche Telekom's developer platform, now offers a Software Development Kit (SDK) for the programming language Objective-C. Using Developer Garden programming interfaces, the SDK makes it easier for developers to integrate Deutsche Telekom services into iOS-based apps for the iPhone and iPad.

With the new Objective-C SDK, it is even simpler for developers to program mobile applications for iOS based on the Developer Garden APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). The SDK offers comprehensive English-language documentation and a series of sample applications for the individual APIs. It simplifies programming and takes care of routine tasks such as authenticating and processing messages in communication with the server. The SDK enables developers to perform tasks such as integrating the AutoScout24 market place into their iPhone applications, integrating text- and MMS messaging functions into an iPad app, and initiating telephone conferences, and all of this with a minimum of hassle.

The Developer Garden Objective-C SDK requires iOS 5. The Xcode 4 development environment even lets you try out the sample applications in the SDK without hardware, using the emulator.
