Gold for Telekom's value-added services: Telekom is awarded first place in the "Value-Added Services" category of the "Carrier & Provider 2010" reader awards, published by renowned telecommunications journal funkschau. Dr. Volker Nussbaumer, Head of the Value-Added Services Center, Telekom Deutschland GmbH, is very satisfied with this top result: "We are proud of bringing our customers closer to their customers with our value-added solutions. Our first-place rating in the funkschau reader awards provides impressive recognition of our work. We intend to remain number one in future when it comes to providing companies with innovative service packages from a single source for first-class customer contact." Telekom is Germany's market leader for service telephony. Telekom achieved top ratings in five categories of the funkschau reader awards (see funkschau 15-16/2010, p. 28). In addition to awarding Telekom first place in the "Value-Added Services" category, readers also rated the company as number-one "Carrier - Fixed Network & Mobile". Telekom took second place in the "Internet Provider", "Managed Services" and "Provider - Fixed Network & Mobile" categories. Voting for the funkschau "Carrier & Provider of the Year 2010" reader awards took place from March 26 to May 2, 2010. Readers were asked to decide on the best provider in each of seven categories. Some 1,400 readers voted in this year's awards, coming from virtually all areas of the ICT sector. They included IT managers, managing directors and board members, as well as system integrators and decision-makers in retail business.
