NaviGate 3.0 from T-Mobile - the "state of the art" in mobile phone navigation. The latest version of the smart online navigation service gets you to your destination quickly, directly, and conveniently, whether by car or on foot. To this end, NaviGate 3.0 continually updates all key data, such as map information. NaviGate 3.0 will be also soon be integrated into the new location-based services (LBS) in the web’n’walk portal. It will allow users of both services to be guided to any destination with the same ease that they discovered with LBS and web’n’walk. In addition, pricing is now extremely transparent: the 24-hour flat rate with unlimited route calculations is only EUR 0.99 for Germany and EUR 2.99 for the rest of Europe. Data transmission for ongoing navigation and information access is already included. NaviGate 3.0 is available right now.
Updated information, the ultimate in convenience NaviGate 3.0 turns any T-Mobile customer phone with a GPS receiver into a compact online navigation system that offers up-to-the-minute information and flexibility. Here's why: A central data center takes the current traffic situation into account when it calculates routes, provides map information, and makes information available. The data needed at a given time is transmitted continuously or on request to the phone via mobile connections. This allows it to navigate users on the basis of up-to-the-minute data and provide them constantly with the most recent information. To do this, the central navigation service updates the TMCpro traffic situation data (TMC = traffic message channel) for NaviGate 3.0 every five minutes, legal speed limit alerts every week, and map as well as search and find data four times a year. NaviGate 3.0 also offers an upgraded map display that offers a choice between a 2-D or 3-D view and English as a language option. The pedestrian navigation system has been revised and provides support with more detailed route information, clear directions, and an improved map view. Naturally, NaviGate 3.0 has all the valuable functions of previous versions, such as automatic rerouting and transmission of GPS location data to the ADAC emergency road services whenever the user calls for help. LBS information via web'n'walk and NaviGate gets you to your destination T-Mobile customers who surf the Web with their cell phones will now find useful location-based services at the web’n’walk portal. The new "Local" tab allows them to locate their current position on a map – even if the phone does not have a GPS receiver. It will also display nearby points of interest, restaurants, gas stations, and cinemas. Further information such as restaurant recommendations, opening hours of museums, or local weather forecasts are available on request. One click is all it takes to call the businesses or organizations displayed. Special added value for those with NaviGate 3.0: Use the LBS map in the web'n'walk portal to conveniently select your own "point of interest" and then receive directions to that destination immediately. The location-based services are available free of charge; unlike with the NaviGate package, data transmission is not included and is calculated by T-Mobile according to the extra data option purchased on top of the flat rate.
Transparent, economical price With NaviGate 3.0, T-Mobile offers more than just a maximum of navigation convenience - it also offers a maximum of price transparency. All prices apply to as many route calculations as are made within the period purchased; all price ranges include data transmission. The flat rate for usage in Germany is EUR 4.95 per month for a three-month term contract and EUR 9.95 for a one-month contract. The day rate - -24 hours following purchase – is EUR 0.99 for Germany and EUR 2.99 for the rest of Europe - i.e. in eurozone countries and in Switzerland. The service can be ordered in addition to all current T-Mobile voice and combined rates directly from your cell phone. The flat-rate package with a three-month term is available until April 1, 2010. NaviGate 3.0 can be used on numerous T-Mobile phones with an integrated GPS module - for example the T-Mobile G2, the Nokia 5800, the Samsung i900, the BlackBerry® Bold™, the Nokia N86 and many other models. To use them, the NaviGate 3.0 application must be downloaded to the cell phone, even if the phone has previous versions installed on it. The free software for direct download onto cell phones can be found at www.navigate.t-mobile.de. Broad range of phone navigation services T-Mobile's NaviGate 3.0 and NAVIGON MobileNavigator provide an attractive portfolio for navigation. Unlike NaviGate and the current NAVIGON solution for Android-based devices, MobileNavigator for iPhone 3G/3GS and Windows mobile smartphones is an onboard solution. This means that routes are calculated directly on the device; the detailed maps and information on restaurants, points of interest, and other destinations are stored on the memory card with the application. A one-time purchase price covers all navigation; only card upgrades and services such as access to current traffic information incur additional charges. The Combi Flat or Combi Relax rates with unlimited data volume are recommended as the best option.
