Business Marketplace: One year of innovative software from the Telekom cloud marketplace

  • 44 applications available, over 10,000 users registered
  • TÜV Saarland’s "tested cloud security" seal for customer data
  • Birthday promotional offer for all applications

The Business Marketplace is celebrating its 1st birthday. Since its launch in summer 2012, over 10,000 users have already registered for Telekom’s cloud marketplace. They can now order the right software for their business from among 44 cloud applications provided by 22 partners. By the end of 2013, Telekom plans to double the Business Marketplace offering. “With the Business Marketplace, we offer small and medium-sized companies simple and at the same time secure access to the cloud,” says Phil Zamani, Senior Vice President of Cloud Services at Deutsche Telekom. “In just a year, we have been able to provide a broad and high-quality selection of software with which companies can professionalize their business and strengthen their competitive position. We help small and medium-sized companies to focus more on their business and less on IT”. The customers receive all services from a single source. Telekom provides the software and the service. The users receive a single bill for all ordered applications on a monthly basis. Right in time for its 1st birthday, the Cloud Marketplace has now received the “tested cloud security” seal from tekit Consult Bonn GmbH, part of the TÜV Saarland group. For this, all cloud services were reviewed in terms of their user friendliness, data protection as well as data security. Guido Hermanowski, Head of Sales at tekit Consult Bonn GmbH, confirms: "The Business Marketplace particularly impressed us with its secure customer data storage, the easy-to-use portal, and the integrated help and support functions.“ What is more, the Business Marketplace meets all of the criteria in TÜV Saarland's strict catalog of requirements for awarding the "tested cloud security" seal. “The seal is very important to us as it shows that we are on the right track with the Business Marketplace,” says Phil Zamani. “We are continually working on further improving the quality of our marketplace.” To mark its birthday, Business Marketplace is now starting a promotional offer. Customers who order software from the Business Marketplace by August 31, 2013 will benefit from a price discount of up to 50 percent. Popular cloud applications such as Office 365 from Microsoft, applications for improving collaboration such as iMeet and Box, as well as security software, e.g., from Symantec, are available. There are also applications for project management and finance as well as special software, e.g., for retailers and industrial companies. The latest applications on the Business Marketplace are projecterus and Hubber. projecterus is a multi-project management application for planning and managing several projects at the same time. The software is available in six editions - from the basic user edition to the enterprise edition for up to 500 users. With the Hubber software, companies can build their own company-internal social network and optimize internal communication. The cloud software can also help improve collaboration with suppliers, partners or customers. To find out more about Telekom’s Business Marketplace, follow this link: www.businessmarketplace.de
