- New version of the Dynamic Workplace from T-Systems available now
- Combination of classic and virtual workplace for gradual migration
- Modular system with pay-as-you-use pricing model
The new version of Dynamic Workplace, the Workplace-as-a-Service offering from T-Systems, is available now: With Release 6, T-Systems has made the solution even more flexible, to adapt to customers' needs and enable them to migrate their workplaces to the cloud as simply as possible.
The new "Current Mode of Operation Plus" (CMO+) approach serves both classic and virtual workplaces, as well as all intermediate steps. Under this procedure, all of a company's workplaces are standardized in the first step and the desired components of the Dynamic Workplace are then integrated incrementally. As a result, users can successively reduce their share of fat clients – that is, fully-equipped PCs and laptops – and can add specific modules from the virtual workplace, such as storage space or software, from the cloud, depending on their individual needs. And they only pay for what they really use. "With CMO+, we are supporting an incremental approach for our customers to migrate to a virtual workplace environment, without overtaxing them," says Thomas Gierich, Head of Solution Sales and Workplace Solutions at T Systems. "The many orders we have received this year are proof that this model is being well-received."
Market researcher Gartner has named T-Systems and its Dynamic Workplace offering a leading provider in its current "Magic Quadrant for Managed Workplace Services, Europe". A comparison by the Information Service Group (ISG) also puts T-Systems at the front of the pack. According to the study, the standardized, pre-configured solution enables the parallel use of classic and cloud workplaces. ISG was also impressed by the modular structure, including Unified Communications and end-to-end responsibility through the company's own network and data center operations in Germany. The analysts praised the company's large trove of experience, particularly with major projects.
