Three become one: T-Systems designs combined special cloud for software developers

  • Cloud triad comprising AppAgile, Red Hat OpenShift and Microsoft Azure
  • Development platform for readily available business applications

Software developers can now use a new digital tool: AppAgile, the T-Systems development platform for readily available business applications and data analytics from the cloud, is now also available as a hybrid cloud based on Microsoft Azure. “AppAgile Azure Hybrid” is available from Microsoft Cloud Deutschland and globally as a modular Platform-as-a-Service offering based on Red Hat OpenShift container platform. Microsoft Cloud Deutschland provide Azure services out of German data centres. Customer data is processed and stored solely in Germany. Access to customer data is in the hand of data trustee T-Systems: Microsoft does not gain access without permission of data trustee or customers. The AppAgile hybrid approach enables customers to combine private, data-critical applications with public cloud offerings and nonetheless retain full control of their data. Both “AppAgile Azure Hybrid” and the platform services are offered as end-to-end managed services with a uniform service level agreement.

T-Systems developed the solution in close cooperation with Red Hat and Microsoft. The combination provides global deliverability coupled with maximum scalability and availability. The target group is enterprises in particular that are intensively developing disruptive technologies such as Cloud Mobile, Data Analytics or IoT (Internet of Things). In this way, enterprises can use another important facet of cloud technologies securely and transparently, and combine this with their own business processes.
