"Join the leading network in Europe" is Deutsche Telekom's motto at this year’s Mobile World Congress – the world’s largest mobile event. 2,200 exhibitors from the mobile industry will converge on Barcelona from February 22 to 25, to present their latest innovations and to network. The new Deutsche Telekom booth, located in Hall 3, has been enlarged and will highlight the company’s expertise as a partner for digitization.
Deutsche Telekom continuously strives to provide its customers with the best network and fastest connection. But having the best network connection is not simply a matter of course or dependent on some arbitrary product – the service provider is what makes the decisive difference. The issue of networks will therefore comprise a main area of focus for Deutsche Telekom in Barcelona, including the latest communication standard 5G. In the future, this fifth generation of mobile communications will enable every individual person, every thing or every machine to be connected with the Internet. Further network topics to be highlighted include the European network of Deutsche Telekom countries, Pan-Net, as well as the European Aviation Network for Internet access on aircraft.
With the development of the eSIM, Deutsche Telekom takes the next step forward in networking and will present the possibilities of this new eSIM world in Barcelona. The so-called embedded SIM is permanently wired to a device, holds information about the user profile in the network, and in contrast to conventional plastic SIMs, may be programmed externally. The continuously growing number of networked devices we each own has made the eSIM and its easy activation and operation necessary. And in line with the increasing amount of devices that can be networked with each other, the importance of the issue of security also rises. At this year’s MWC, Deutsche Telekom will certify its position as a reliable partner in this regard, with its advanced range of security solutions.
With these developments, the Bonn-based company once again underscores its position as the leading European telecommunications provider.
