Deutsche Telekom aims to be a leader in establishing a proactive health culture. And we are well on our way to achieving this. A purely reactive health management system is not acceptable to us.

Responsibility for health in the Deutsche Telekom Group

In the Health & Safety Management (H&S) unit, a team of experts develops a range of offerings and measures to promote and support the health competency of our workforce.

H&S also ensures compliance with statutory health and safety regulations at national level. We have a nationwide network of 130 company physicians, 120 occupational safety offers, and 50 systemically trained experts who have elaborate a targeted range of offerings designed to permanently enhance health and performance and ensure health and safety in the workplace. Counselors provide psychological support on both work-related and personal issues.

At international level, we use Group-wide, centrally controlled management systems designed to uphold minimum standards and exchange best practices.

Timely detection of health risks

The findings from the employee survey are used to identify health risks and initiate prompt counteractive measures. Maintaining mental health, and providing appropriate support during change processes, are top priorities for Deutsche Telekom.

We received the Corporate Health Award sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for our efforts to protect the mental health of our workforce in 2010.
