Magenta MOOC: Learning with and from each other

Magenta MOOC - the corporate massive open online course at Deutsche Telekom - has been started in 2014. After 2016, the MOOC has been held for the third time in 2018. For 
Magenta MOOC, Deutsche Telekom has been awarded with one of the most prestigious international HRM awards.

With increasingly international value chains, more and more complex products and traditional work structures being dissolved, Deutsche Telekom has to intensify its cooperation across departmental and international boundaries. At the same time Deutsche Telekom´s large size, and the diversity of its workforce, offer great potential for social learning and collaborative development. The Magenta MOOC, the corporate massive open online course at Deutsche Telekom, is a suitable format to support these aims efficiently and effectively and is a blueprint for digital transformation within DT.

Magenta MOOC is a workplace-learning experience in which employees of Deutsche Telekom group-wide connect with each other and create and share content using social media and other collaborative tools. For Magenta MOOC, Deutsche Telekom has been awarded with one of the most prestigious international HRM awards, the Brandon Hall Group Award in Gold for excellence in the category “Best use of social/collaborative learning”. So far, there have been three editions of these exceptional online courses which combine inspirations on dedicated topics through internal & external video lectures with virtual collaboration on real business challenges within small heterogeneous teams.
