Thanks to the active involvement of more than 500 thousand people, T-Mobile Polska was able to donate 250.000 Euro for the children looked after by the foundation "You Are Not Alone TVN" at the second edition of the nationwide "Help Measured in Kilometres". For this campaign, T-Mobile Polska was awarded with the Silver Effie Award.
The challenge: From mid-June over 500 thousand Poles actively tackled T-Mobile’s numerous kilometre challenges by running, walking, rollerblading, biking as well as doing sports on wheelchairs. Every two weeks T-Mobile posed a new kilometre challenge, the achievement of which equalled making a specified donation for the children. Upon the completion of the campaign the distance of almost 80 million kilometres was achieved.
At the end: All of this lead to celebration of a joint success during the 36th edition of the PZU Warsaw Marathon. The sports and TV stars cheered the Poles to tackle subsequent T-Mobile kilometre challenges. Creating such a large community of actively helping people. The results of this year’s campaign are impressive and prove that Poles are becoming more and more active in sports and their commitment further increases if they can help at the same time.
T-Mobile Poland won the Silver Effie Award for its campaign "Help Measured in Kilometres" within this year's edition of the Effie Awards. It is a prestigious marketing contest that awards promotional campaigns for those brands whose communication actions are the most effective. The initiative won in the category "Campaigns concerning social education; CSR campaigns."
