Deutsche Telekom and its major enterprise arm T-Systems will be presenting digital solution modules for industry at the Hannover Messe (April 23 to 27) under the motto “Shape The Digital Now”.
“We're taking our clients into the digital future,” says Telekom board member and T-Systems CEO Adel Al-Saleh. “T-Systems has a customer base of world-renowned companies. They entrust us their network, IT and security solutions and are working with us to digitally transform their business. We are realigning our strategy accordingly. We will work with a total of eleven portfolio units. Here at the fair we are picking out five product groups from our digital business: (1) Digital Solutions, (2) SAP, (3) Public Cloud, (4) Internet of Things (IoT) and (5) Security. These portfolio elements are important drivers of our growth in the future.”
Al-Saleh announced further details on T-Systems' new strategy to be revealed at Telekom's capital market days in May.
Digital Solutions: Germany's largest digital provider is emerging
As one of the first measures, the new T-Systems CEO will bundle the customer-specific digital business in a new unit. This will create the largest digital provider in Germany to date. “With the new portfolio unit, we provide consulting to our clients, develop tailor-made solutions for them, and build and operate them at their request. In doing so, we cover the entire digital transformation chain in one unit,” says Al-Saleh. With around 4,800 employees, the new portfolio unit “Digital Solutions” combines the expertise of three organizations previously operating separately in the market: (1) Detecon (management and technology consulting), (2) T-Systems Multimedia Solutions (digital services) and (3) the digitally oriented areas of T-Systems Global Systems Integration.

Microsoft and T-Systems are digitizing the industry
Microsoft and Telekom enter into a new strategic partnership. This was announced by Jean-Philippe Courtois, Microsoft Executive Vice President, and Adel Al-Saleh on Monday at the Hanover Fair. The two companies drive public cloud services in four areas: (1) SAP applications, (2) managed services on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, (3) digital solutions with artificial intelligence and mixed reality, and (4) IoT.
SAP now available at the Open Telekom Cloud
SAP certified the Open Telekom Cloud at the Hanover Fair. The partners guarantee the performance of SAP HANA on Telekom's public cloud and integrate the solution seamlessly into SAP support processes. With the additional service in the public cloud, companies can flexibly and easily add SAP applications to their IT landscape via self-service and also receive the necessary customer support if required.
