Now you too can have your own PA for the family: The Family Manager offers ten different apps for perfect support in everyday family life. All it takes is one click to view everything you need - your own and your children's appointments, emergency medical services, games as well as the latest shopping aids and special offers. The famundo family calendar is a particularly indispensable aid in helping parents juggle home, work, school and the day-to-day challenges life brings. Deutsche Telekom supplies the Family Manager exclusively and free of charge on a new Android smartphone: the top-quality 'move'. It will be on sale, with the Family Manager preinstalled, from November 2011. The Family Manager represents yet another step in Deutsche Telekom's strategic journey toward fully harnessing all the benefits of life with and in modern-day networks. It has selected the ideal apps for the family from a current total of 280,000 and placed them on a state-of-the-art smartphone for direct usage. The Family Manager apps are available to users at no extra charge, with only the cost of data transmission arising when the apps are used. The apps are grouped around four topics - My Family, Games Corner, In an Emergency and Shopping - with the famundo family calendar at their center. The calendar, which can be shared by all family members, simplifies the organization of appointments - it can be accessed by all users via the web or an Android app. Along with appointments, the family calendar also contains shopping and to-do lists - and so helps make everyday life easier. My Family also includes the interactive Wikitude town and city guide for families as well as the Media Center. With Wikitude, families can always find the nearest playground or museum, and then navigate straight there with NAVIGON. The Media Center is especially useful for storing photos securely and accessing them from virtually anywhere. The In an Emergency app offers emergency help with location-based services, e.g. for finding doctors quickly, and emergency videos in cooperation with the welfare organization Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e. V. In the Games Corner, kids can find three exciting, age-appropriate and informative games from Ravensburger, which do not lead to the internet or contain buying options. The Shopping area, meanwhile, offers practical shopping aids and information with the barcoo product barcode scanner, a product finder which displays food traffic lights indicating nutritional value, and kaufDa, with brochures containing special offers from stores in the near vicinity. It also provides direct access to eBay and Payback - including free Payback points. The elegant move smartphone from Deutsche Telekom has a large touch display with a 9.4 centimeter diagonal and a 5-megapixel camera for photos and videos. The device is easy to use and comes with an integrated GPS module, with the NAVIGON select Telekom Edition navigation software preinstalled. The move smartphone uses the latest version of the Android operating system - 2.3. It comes with attractive accessories, including a back cover in a floral design and a case with a separate credit card compartment. The move phone, including the preinstalled Family Manager, will be available from Deutsche Telekom as of November 2011. The Family Manager is free of charge, while the device costs EUR 4.95 per month in the
