Great services for business customers: Deutsche Telekom is systema-tically expanding its offering for connected work in small and medium-sized companies. At CeBIT 2009, Germany’s leading telecommunications provider is presenting new products and services for fast, secure Internet connection, high-performance link-up of local area networks (LANs) and low-cost voice communications. What all these solutions have in common is that they optimize communications with customers and business partners as well as cooperation between locations, and so significantly improve the competitiveness of companies.

Forward-looking expansion of the CompanyConnect offering With CompanyConnect, Deutsche Telekom offers its business customers high-performance, flexibly upgradable Internet access throughout Germany. CompanyConnect offers a permanent and direct connection to Deutsche Telekom’s Internet backbone with guaranteed availability and bandwidth. Scalable, symmetrical bandwidths of 256 kilobits per second (kbit/s) to 622 megabits per second (Mbit/s) are available. At CeBIT, Deutsche Telekom is presenting the new offer CompanyConnect 10M Cu with a scalable bandwidth of up to 10 Mbit/s. Notably, Deutsche Telekom achieves the high bandwidth on the basis of the copper cables at the customer’s premises. Through flexible pricing, the telecommunications provider ensures tailored, low-cost rates. Traffic prioritization ensures that business customers can handle their Internet data traffic smoothly at practically any time. CompanyConnect 10M Cu is expected to be available from May 2009. Voice and data based on EthernetConnect The Ethernet technology designed for local networks is increasingly used in wide area networks (WAN). The technology allows local networks to be linked up simply and flexibly between locations. In the growth market for fixed-line Ethernet, Deutsche Telekom is very well positioned with its EthernetConnect product and is the leading provider in Germany. EthernetConnect allows Germany-wide scalable location networking of 2.5 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s and, since February 2009, also international con-nections of up to 1 Gbit/s. Thanks to the high performance of Deutsche Telekom’s Ethernet platform, EthernetConnect is also ideally suited for delay-critical applications like voice or multimedia, and large data volumes, for instance when joining together or mirroring computer centers. Guaranteed availability is almost 100 percent . Deutsche Telekom constantly adapts its offering to customer needs by continuously developing its Ethernet WAN services. With forward-looking features like traffic prioritization, EthernetConnect meets the growing demand for convergent solutions.
