Hrvatski Telekom - the first in Croatia to enable its customers to test all advantages of LTE technology
After having conducted, for the first time in Croatia, a live demonstration of the LTE test network, and having set up a video conference connection via LTE technology between Rijeka and Zagreb by the end of March of this year, Hrvatski Telekom will be the first in Croatia to enable its customers to test high bitrate surfing provided by LTE technology. A limited number of HT customers in Zagreb, Rijeka and Split will be given the opportunity to test, totally free of charge and on an everyday basis, the high bitrates in web surfing provided by LTE technology which go up to 100 Mbps. The customers involved in the test phase will receive LTE test units to be used for access to online content at extremely high speeds which, until now, have not been made available to any residential customer for surfing. Mobile internet access via LTE network will be enabled in major Croatian cities within the limited LTE footprint, therefore, for testing, HT will select approximately 100 customers who reside in an area covered by the LTE signal. During the test phase, HT will conduct measurements and optimization of the LTE test network, in order to be able to provide best quality of service and fastest surfing speeds in the future commercial operation of the LTE network. By providing use of LTE technology for testing purposes, Hrvatski Telekom is once more reinforcing its leader and innovator status on the Croatian telecommunications market. Interested customers may apply via HT's Facebook pages where detailed rules for participation in testing and information on the LTE footprint will be published soon.
