T-Mobile will shortly be launching its second Android-based cell phone: the T-Mobile G2 Touch. This makes T-Mobile the only provider to have two cell phone models with this innovative operating system in its handset portfolio. Like the successful T-Mobile G1, the new model also offers comprehensive, easy-to-use communication and application options. One exceptional feature of this state-of-the-art phone with its exclusive, modern design is that it can be almost completely personalized. Customers can make the cell phone truly their own, expanding its functions using the numerous applications that can be downloaded from Android Market™. In addition, the phone provides maximum convenience in terms of communication and high-speed Internet access.

Stylish personal companion The T-Mobile G2 Touch offers seven personalizable start pages. Users can set up the display according to their individual requirements. For example, contacts, games, programs, pictures and links to social networks such as Facebook and XING can be added to the screen. Widgets for e-mail, communication and Twitter access, among other things, are pre-installed. Users can upload photos and videos by clicking on personal albums to websites such as Facebook, Flickr, Picasa™ and YouTube™. On the subject of the mobile Internet, the T-Mobile G2 Touch enables customers to zoom in and out quickly when surfing Internet pages, simply by moving their fingers over the touch screen. Auto-focus camera and more The technical features of the T-Mobile G2 Touch include the latest version of the Android 1.5 operating software, HSDPA with up to 7.2 Mbit/s, a 5MP auto-focus camera and a 3.5 mm headphone socket. The battery has a longer life, allowing up to 7.5 hours of call time and up to 440 hours on standby. A 2 GByte MicroSD card is already installed for expansion of the 288 MB internal memory.

The Android-based phones from T-Mobile are optimized for mobile Inter-net access and the use of Google services. Using the high-speed network of T-Mobile, they provide users with constant mobile access to important applications such as e-mail, Instant Messenger and Internet communities. Some of the most popular mobile Google services, such as Google Maps, are pre-installed. In addition, there are numerous additional applications available for download from the Android Market. The device's intelligent touch screen and trackball make Internet surfing a real delight. Thanks to its personalization options, the T-Mobile G2 Touch is also ideal for business use. It supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync with the push function for e-mail, contacts and calendar.

T-Mobile is offering the device to consumers from the beginning of August as part of a 24-month contract at the Combi Flat and Combi Relax rates. In conjunction with the voide and data flatrate, Combi Flat L, the T-Mobile G2 Touch costs EUR 9.95. The Combi Flat L is the all-inclusive rate: Flat rate to all networks, data flat rate for mobile surfing and “quasi flat rate” for SMS plus 100 MMS messages to all networks. The monthly basic charges are EUR 24.95 (XS), EUR 44.95 (S), EUR 59.95 (M) and EUR 119.95 (L). The monthly charges for the Combi Relax range are EUR 29.95 (Combi Relax 60), EUR 49.95 (120), EUR 69.95 (240) and EUR 89.95 (1200).
