T-Mobile is backing pioneering technology, to offer customers the best possible mobile experience. That is demonstrated impressively by the new cell phone models which Germany's leading mobile communications provider is presenting at CeBIT 2009. They offer comprehensive facilities such as state-of-the-art broadband technology for rapid Internet-surfing, large touch screens and music players with top sound quality. New equipment such as the T-Mobile MDA Vario V and the T-Mobile MDA Compact V underlines T-Mobile's pioneering role in the mobile Internet area.
MDA Vario V and MDA compact V: new additions to a successful family MDA Vario V and MDA Compact V are new highlights of T-Mobile's web'n'walk cell phone family. Both support HSDPA with bandwidths of up to 7.2 Mbit/s and HSUPA with up to 2.0 Mbit/s for rapid downloads and up-loads as well as WLAN and EDGE. A GPS module for dynamic navigation with T-Mobile NaviGate is already built into the equipment. Both have auto-focus cameras. The MDA Vario V offers a five-line QWERTY keyboard and a 3.6-inch WVGA display (WVGA, Wide Video Graphics Area). A clever detail: The kicktail mechanism allows the display to be folded upwards. The MDA Compact V, exclusively offered by T-Mobile, convinces customers through its exclusive design, large touch screen, compact format and light weight. For both the MDA Vario V and the MDA Compact V, Microsoft Win-dows Mobile 6.1 ensures high user comfort, especially when surfing with web'n'walk. T-Mobile will be offering both the new MDAs from June 2009. "With the very first MDA, which we launched on the market seven years ago, we were able to give a major boost to mobile data use", says Thomas Wagner, Head of Terminal Management at T-Mobile Germany. "The new MDA Vario V and the exclusive MDA Compact V will mainly advance the cause of mobile surfing and e-mailing." New web'n'walk mobile handsets: The LG GT500, which T-Mobile will also be exclusively offering from July 2009, will also use HSDPA to allow bandwidths up to 7.2 Mbit/s. The pro-perties of the slim-line touch-screen cell phone include a 5-megapixel ca-mera with geo-tagging technology, comprehensive e-mail services and a 3-inch display. T-Mobile and Samsung will continue their cooperation this year. As early as March 2009, T-Mobile will be introducing the new Samsung top-of-the-range model, the S8300 UltraTOUCH. It has a 2.8-inch touch-screen and a key-board, an 8-megapixel camera and a built-in GPS receiver. The Samsung S7350 UltraSLIDE and S6700 models, which are both aimed at large groups of customers, will follow later. All the models are perfectly suited to cell phone surfing, using web'n'walk. T-Mobile and Samsung will announce further initiatives at a later date.
Cool music cell phones from SonyEricsson and Samsung The Sony Ericsson W705, the Samsung M7600 BeatDJ and the Samsung M6710 BeatDISC are three cell phone models which T-Mobile is taking into its product range and which are targeted mainly at music fans. With the audio player on the Sony Ericsson W705, the user can wind a song back or forward with ShakeControl, just by shaking the cell phone. It uses SenseMe to play songs to match your mood, and TrackID to find out information on unknown titles. T-Mobile is offering a special edition of the handset for the current series of Germany's equivalent of "American Idol". The scope of delivery includes, in addition to a stereo headset, a voucher for the down-load of five music titles from the two million songs and 140,000 albums on the music portal www.t-mobile-music.de . The Samsung M7600 BeatDJ is the best possible accompaniment for DJs and all those who want to become DJs. It has an extensive range of functions for creating and processing your own pieces of music, and offers impressive sound quality thanks to Bang & Olufsen audio technology and stereo loudspeakers with surround sound effects. In addition, the cell phone supports HSDPA with up to 7.2 Mbit/s and the display – with a new type of energy-saving technology – shows up to 16 million colors. The Samsung M6710 BeatDISC possesses both a touch-screen and a slide-out keypad. This model also incorporates many music-player functions, sophisticated Bang & Olufsen sound technology and a stereo loudspeaker with surround sound effects. T-Mobile will be offering the two Samsung models from May 2009.
Xtra Pac T-Mobile Vairy Touch An interesting innovation in the company's Xtra range is the T-Mobile Vairy Touch. The cell phone in a mini-PDA phone design is the T-Mobile brand's first touch-screen model in the prepaid segment. Its accessories include a music player, a VHF radio, a 1.3 MP camera and a Bluetooth interface. T-Mobile will be introducing the T-Mobile Vairy Touch in March 2009. An-other new prepaid cell phone, the Nokia 1662, is exclusively available from T-Mobile, from May 2009. The Nokia 1662 is a value-for-money, easy-to-use cell phone with an elegant design. A VHF radio and a torch are built-in features. The standby time of up to 400 hours is unusually long. T-Mobile at CeBIT 2009 – we look forward to seeing you.
