CeBIT 2014: T-Systems presents Mall2Go - the new shopping app with delivery right to your place of work

  • A mobile shopping service for employees of large companies
  • Daily office deliveries of food and drugstore products
  • A multi-shop platform that serves as a new sales channel for retailers

At this year's CeBIT exhibition, T-Systems is presenting "Mall2Go", a shopping app that enables employees of large companies to do their daily shopping by cell phone - and receive same-day deliveries right to the office. The new shopping concept will benefit all those involved - the employees, their companies and the participating retailers. For regional supermarkets and drugstores, integration within a virtual mall will provide a new sales channel. T-Systems is planning to launch a Mall2Go pilot in May 2014 at Deutsche Telekom in Bonn.

It's modern and satisfying Now, instead of having to rush to the nearest supermarket, bakery or drugstore right after work, employees can order what they need via the convenient Mall2Go app. With the app, they can browse through a shop's products and then add items to their shopping cart via barcode or QR-code scan. Via a sharing function, they can also allow friends and family to check the shopping list and add items. Customers who place their orders by noon receive same-day deliveries of their purchases right to their company's pick-up station.

As Alexander Lautz, head of T-Systems' Connecting Customers business unit, explains, "With Mall2Go, we are helping companies make their employees' workdays a little less complicated, with better work-life balance. In addition, Mall2Go will bring a range of different retailers and companies together on a single platform, with all of the obvious advantages that will entail for all those involved."

Sales channel for regional retailers The special advantages for retailers are also obvious. The virtual platform will enable regional supermarkets and smaller businesses to reach considerably larger groups of customers than they can via their physical locations. What is more, with the app, any special offers or advertising campaigns they run can have their full effect at any time and anywhere, i.e., their effectiveness will no longer be confined to the physical point of sale. And, of course, the same-day delivery service is clear added value for customers.

Experience our products and services live at CeBIT from March 10 - 14 at the Deutsche Telekom stand in hall 4, stand C26. Deutsche Telekom's entire presence at the trade fair is carbon-neutral: All CO2 emissions generated in setting up and operating the stand are offset fully by carbon-reduction projects abroad.
