In episode 60, Birgit Bohle, our Board member for Human Resources and Legal Affairs, speaks about the commitment of Deutsche Telekom and all our employees with regard to diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusion.

BeyondGenderAgenda is an important important network for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the German economy. So we are all the more pleased that we are voted into 3rd place in the "German Diversity Index"-Ranking 2022.

Together & for each other

Our employee networks such as MagentaPride, Women's Networks, Muslims@Telekom, Christians@Telekom and our BIPoC community are committed to eliminating prejudice and fostering diversity.

MagentaPride, for example, has been working for the LGBTQIA+ network (network of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans* and intersex employees) with all its friends and supporters since 2002 to raise awareness, answer questions and help with challenging everyday situations.

Courses & Training – Practice makes Diversity

Being respectful means tolerating and appreciate how others identify themselves. To give confidence in dealing with each other, we offer courses, trainings and discussions with expert for every diversity dimension: Gender, age, sexual orientation and gender identity, ethnic origin and nationality, social background, physical and mental abilities, and religion and belief.

In this way, everyone can make their contribution to greater inclusion.

Connected As One

By publishing our revised Guide to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in 2021, we established a new awareness of the consideration and promotion of diversity at Deutsche Telekom. And on all levels globally. The guide aspires to demand now promote a culture of belonging, in which everyone has the opportunity to fulfill their full potential.

In our accompanying “Connected As One” communication campaign, we celebrate our differences and demonstrate our unity of individuals.

Transgender Guide – Be as you are

Working life is often challenging enough on its own, which is why we want everyone to be able to focus on the demands of work without having to deny or hide their own gender identity. In fact, we want everyone to be welcomed and to be able to live as they are.
