Deutsche Telekom announces the pricing for its 2 billion Euro bond issued by Deutsche Telekom International Finance B.V. today. The bonds have been issued in two tranches: A eight-year note of 1.25 billion Euro principal amount and a fifteen-year note of 750 million Euro principal amount. The eight-year bonds due 18.01.2021 have a coupon of 2.125% and have been sold to investors at a spread of 78 basispoints above the eight year Mid-Swap rate. The bond will be sold at 99.072 which results in a re-offer yield of 2.253%. The fifteen-year bonds due 17.01.2028 have a coupon of 3.25% and have been sold to investors at a spread of 115 basispoints above the fifteen year Mid-Swap rate. The bond will be sold at 98.720 which results in a re-offer yield of 3.360%. The bond offering generated very strong investor interest with an orderbook of roughly 3.6 billion Euro. With more than 300 orders the bond was distributed to a broad investor base. The offering is part of Deutsche Telekom’s general corporate financing and will not increase its net debt position. The lead managers for the offering were Barclays, Deutsche Bank and Societe Generale. The co-lead managers were Banca Intesa, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Commerzbank, DZ Bank, Helaba, LBBW, Lloyds and UniCredit Group (HVB).
