Company

T-Mobile US (TMUS) has been part of the Deutsche Telekom Group since 2001. Deutsche Telekom holds a 52.8 percent stake in the company, which is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington (as of February 18, 2026). With around 142 million customers, T-Mobile US is the second-largest provider in the US market (as of December 31, 2025). With a market capitalization of around USD 225 billion (as of December 31, 2025), TMUS was the largest telecommunications company in the world in 2025.

Brands and Growth

T-Mobile US operates two main brands: T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile. Through these, the company provides mobile services nationwide as well as fiber-based internet services, devices, and accessories at selected locations. T-Mobile expanded in 2020 through the acquisition of Sprint. This growth continued in 2024 with the acquisitions of Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile, which continue to operate as separate brands. In 2025, further expansion followed with the acquisition of the wireless operations of US provider UScellular, completed on August 1. In addition, T-Mobile established two joint ventures in the fiber sector: Lumos (completed on April 1) and Metronet (completed on July 24). T-Mobile also acts as a network operator for various mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs).

Network Infrastructure and Products

T-Mobile US operates the largest, fastest, and most awarded fifth-generation (5G) mobile network in the United States, featuring nationwide standalone 5G, nationwide 5G Advanced, a leading spectrum position, and a cloud-based, AI-enabled architecture. In addition to mobile services for private and business customers, T-Mobile US also offers a high-speed internet solution based on its nationwide 5G network (fixed wireless access, FWA). T-Mobile Home Internet reaches 70 million households in the United States. T-Mobile Fiber provides internet via fiber-optic infrastructure and is currently available in selected locations.

T-Systems

T-Systems, the business customer segment of Deutsche Telekom, provides customers in the United States and Canada with tailored digital solutions through offices in numerous US cities, including cloud services as well as solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
